Yale Cooling Conference 2026

Yale Cooling Conference is returning to Yale School of Management on March 5-6, 2026.

This year, we are focusing on the role of innovation and finance in scaling Lifecycle Refrigerant Management and Alternative Cooling Technologies.

Join renowned experts and organizations at the forefront of alternative cooling technologies and lifecycle refrigerant management as they explore the latest advancements, discuss financing, and identify opportunities at our upcoming cooling conference. This gathering provides an unparalleled opportunity for knowledge exchange, networking, and growth in an environment dedicated to the cooling field.

Our Conference

Global demand for cooling is expected to triple by 2050 due to hotter weather, more frequent extreme heat events, increases in population, wealth, and urbanization. This demand could have large effects on the climate through both direct emissions of refrigerant gases, and indirect emissions through increased energy use - especially during peaks. Sustainable cooling could cut 2050 emissions by 64%, according to Global Cooling Watch 2025, but there is a massive need to both contain existing and potential emissions, and to invest in new cooling solutions.

It is a timely opportunity to advance action and capital towards implementing sustainable cooling approaches and the responsible management of the existing bank of refrigerants. The Yale Cooling Conference offers a unique forum to plan action and drive capital towards implementation.

At the 2026 Yale Cooling Conference, we will focus on the role of innovation and finance in scaling-up both lifecycle refrigerant management (LRM) and alternative cooling technologies (ACTs). We are bringing together both funding providers, policy makers and innovators to chart a path to a more sustainable cooling system, sooner.

Keynote

Attend the keynote address on sustainable cooling. The keynote will be webcasted internationally in addition to the live in-person event. Stay tuned for the announcement of the keynote speaker!

Panels

Tune in for the public webinar plenary panel on sustainable cooling needs and solutions, broadcast internationally and co-hosted by the Climate & Clean Air Coalition (CCAC). And, attend the panel of practitioners who will discuss financing for the cooling transition and the next wave of cooling innovations.

Innovation Showcase

Make sure to attend the Cooling Innovation Showcase for alternative cooling technologies and technologies that support life cycle refrigerant management.

Register Today

Together through a facilitated dialogue and series of workshops, we will seek to answer the following questions:

  • What are the innovations and technologies that support LRM and ACTs?
  • What are the key blocks and hurdles in scaling up these technologies?
  • What capital is most needed?
  • Who is best situated to provide that capital?
  • What do capital providers need to unlock their investments?

Secure your spot at our second annual Yale Cooling Conference by registering today. Engage with leading experts and enhance your professional insights through this unparalleled opportunity for knowledge exchange.
